Training Homes

Thinking of selling in the near future and you need to stage your home? Or, are you a realtor and you know your client's home needs staging? Just moved into your new home and you're too tired to set it up? Think you can't afford to have a professional do this? Think again!

We teach a 5 Day Professional Accredited Home Staging & Design course. There are three days in a classroom setting, and two days in real client's homes. The training homes are treated as any other client's home and overseen by professional instructors who have years of experience in home staging and redesign. As part of the practicum, we need real client's homes just like yours to become part of our program. These are called training homes.

How It Works

Requirements

  • Your home needs to be more than 1500 square feet and have 3 different rooms that we can work in for the day.
  • You need enough of your own furniture that we can rearrange it to create better traffic flow and more balance + harmony in your rooms.
  • For a move-in-redesign, your art, collections and treasures will be beautifully displayed and showcased to reflect your personal style in your home. For a staging training home you may be given homework where you are required to pre-pack your personal items and collection. We may also recommend paint colours during our initial consultation. Our goal is to create the right look for your target market using your things.
  • You must be open to having up to 10 students in your home for the day – we arrive at 9 am and finish up between 4 & 5 pm.

Process

  • We will come out and do a one hour consultation with you to determine what needs to be done before we come in to do the actual hands-on staging in your home.
  • During that time we let you know if you have any homework to do before we come back and do the actual hands on home makeover.
  • The day of the home makeover we bring in up to 10 students and we typically do 3 rooms - living, family, dining and/or entranceway.
  • When you return at the end of the day and you get to act just like they do on television when we do the reveal of your new look.
  • We look for training homes for our courses in and around Vancouver, Kelowna, Victoria and Calgary.

Cost

  • $0 - Approved homes will receive free staging.
  • We ask that you pay it forward by making a charitable donation of your choice on behalf of PRES®.

Just being newly married it was a real challenge bringing our two households together in a unique way that would identify us both and become a blended family space. PRES did such a wonderful job in blending our individual bits and pieces together to create new atmosphere to old spaces.
