Professional Real Estate Staging Training in Canada

Hello,

Welcome to your 'FREE' PRES® Entrepreneurs ezine. The intention of this monthly ezine is to provide insightful information to you about the home staging and redesign business. Whether or not you have a successful business or are planning on starting one, now is a good time to create or review your Vision Statement.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR VISION & MISSION STATEMENT:

Your Mission Statement is a statement that tells your overall purpose, what you do, who you do it with, how you do it and why you do it. By contrast your Vision Statement is about what you want to accomplish in your ideal future and about your values.

Why do you want to have a Vision & Mission Statement?

By having both a Vision and Mission Statement you are better able to make decisions about what business to focus on and what not to. You know 'what you want' and you know 'how you will get there'. It allows you to say 'no' that is not my core business or 'yes' I need to focus more on that to help me stay true to my vision.

Your Vision Statement is for you and your employees or contractors, while your Mission Statement is for your clients or customers. These two statements should inspire and energize you, your employees/contractors and your customers.

What are the Values you want to uphold?

Your Values are integral to your business. They set the tone and core ideology of your business and they do not change over time. Values are what your business lives, breathes and reflects in all your dealings with your clients/customers. They serve as guidelines as you work toward your vision.

Ask yourself these questions and create your own Values list:

What do you really care about? What makes you tick? Is it the number of jobs you do or the quality of your work? Making the most money or feeling personally satisfied at the end of the job?

These are 5 of my Core Values.

  1. Never sacrificing quality of my course for quantity of students taught
  2. Authentic connection with my students/graduates
  3. Offering the best industry advice available
  4. Caring about the success of my students/graduates
  5. Supporting my students/graduates

Your Mission Statement may change;
your Vision Statement is your Constant.

Once you have created your Mission and Vision Statements see how they resonate with you. It may take some time to come up with what really feels authentic for you so give it time. Your Mission may change over time yet your Vision will most likely remain your constant. Staying true to your vision is not always easy especially in more challenging times. However, life is often about the journey and not about the end. (How many times have you heard that one yet, it is true.) If you are passionate about what you are doing staying focused will not be so difficult. Remember that all businesses have theirs 'ups and downs' and we can learn a lot from both of these scenarios.

Let me share my Vision & Mission Statements with you:

My Vision Statement:

Offering the most current and supportive quality home staging and redesign program in the world.

My Mission Statement:

Testimonial
"Dana is the 'Guru' of staging and redesign on the West Coast. The course I attended was beyond my expectations. Dana's style of teaching was delivered with lots of enthusiasm as she truly loves what she does and it shows. We had real hands-on on redesign and staging in 3 very different and challenging homes, best way to learn. The monthly meetings are great to connect and network with others and the topics are diversified. Dana's professionalism, commitment to excellence, her continuous support and mentoring is invaluable to help new and seasoned re-designers and stagers become the best they can be."
